Reporting to the General Counsel, the incumbent will work closely with investigators, attorneys, respondents, court reporters, and administrative staff. The role involves performing various paralegal-related tasks. Responsibilities may include scheduling hearings for attorneys and investigators; maintaining databases and case tracking systems; compiling and organizing hearing files and records; preparing and assisting with legal document preparation; conducting legal research; preparing subpoenas and correspondence.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Prepare correspondence and all relevant case materials for hearings. Assist in preparing cases for hearings, including a variety of supporting activities. Draft and prepare legal documents for review by investigators and attorneys. Organize case files and maintain exhibits for hearings. Prepare subpoenas and arrange for service. Coordinate filing of legal memoranda and other legal papers. Assist with resources and supportive materials for attorneys during hearings. Conduct research into complex legal matters, analyze materials, and present verbal and written summaries of findings. Prepare and maintain case files and calendars; track docket status, deadlines, and final decisions. Assist the General Counsel with confidential legal matters. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Counsel or First Deputy General Counsel.
