This role involves preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination, assisting pathologists in diagnosing diseases, and ensuring laboratory procedures comply with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have expertise in histological techniques, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of laboratory protocols.Responsibilities Prepare and process tissue samples for microscopic examination.Perform embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting of tissue specimens.Operate and maintain histology laboratory equipment.Ensure quality control and compliance with lab safety regulations.Assist pathologists in diagnostic evaluations.Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.Travel to different healthcare facilities for temporary assignments. Qualifications Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology or a related field.Certification: ASCP certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) preferred.Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a histology laboratory.Skills: Proficiency in tissue processing, staining techniques, and microscopy.Travel Readiness: Willingness to take on travel assignments and relocate as needed.
