The Maternal, Fetal, & Neonatal Institute (MFNI) at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital (JHACH) in St. Petersburg, Florida is seeking a candidate to hold the position of Division Chief of Newborn Medicine. This role encompasses both clinical and administrative responsibilities as a MFNI leader in clinical care, education, and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Oversight:
Direct the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) operations across the main Level IV NICU and six affiliate hospitals.
Supervise and mentor NICU medical directors and faculty.
Ensure high-quality, evidence-based, and consistent care across the system.
Strategic & Collaborative Engagement:
Partner with the MFNI leadership and other division chiefs in Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Contribute to strategic planning, partnership development, and vision alignment with JHACH priorities.
Interdisciplinary Coordination:
Collaborate with nursing, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, and educators.
Focus on quality, safety, clinical research, education, and family-centered care.
Academic & Mentorship Role:
Promote scholarly activity and faculty development.
Support residency and fellowship training.
Candidate Requirements:
Leadership Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Academic Credentials:
Strong scholarly record; appointment at associate or full professor level preferred. Exceptional assistant professors nearing promotion may also be considered.
