Overview

CSC’s Strategic Sourcing team, a key function within the company’s Corporate Supply Chain function, is in search of a Strategic Sourcing Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the execution of a broad array of sourcing events for both direct and indirect products and services within varying spend categories such as Equipment, Parts & Consumables; Transportation & Logistics; Information Technology; Professional & Outside Services; Facilities & Office Management; T&E; & P2P Platform.

In addition to executing a large variety of sourcing initiatives, this role will also be responsible for providing analytical and project management support to sourcing leadership and internal business partners; and assist with category management activities such as pipeline development, data management, expiring contract reviews, supplier management, and compliance tracking.

This role reports directly to the Director of Strategic Sourcing and will work in a team environment that provides support and guidance to ensure that Strategic Sourcing is effectively serving its internal stakeholders.

The Strategic Sourcing team manages over $250M in annual spend across a range of direct and indirect categories that support key business units across the enterprise. As a Strategic Sourcing Analyst on the Sourcing team, you should have a continuous improvement mindset, possess an entrepreneurial self-starting mentality, and be a strong communicator who is able to establish lasting relationships with internal business partners as well as internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Execute and lead a variety of sourcing events in support of category

Provide analytical support to business partners on RFx events and major initiatives

Support category management activities (expiring contract review, pipeline development, opportunity assessment, supplier management, compliance tracking, etc.)

Provide project management and communication through initiatives (project tracking, meeting minutes, etc.)

Compile scope of work and requirements, analyze and evaluate vendor proposals, and negotiate final commercial terms

Develop and confidently present analysis - both quantitative and qualitative - to Sourcing and Business leadership to obtain approval to award business

Effectively communicate and demonstrate Strategic Sourcing's value proposition to internal business partners/stakeholders

What you need to succeed in this role:

High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment where ambiguity exists, and continuous innovation is desired.

Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary.

Basic knowledge of the supply chain and procurement industry trends, supply chain processes, best practices, tools & technology, and compliance requirements.

Firsthand experience with computerized P2P systems.

Strong proficiency in MS Office, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Excellent, well-rounded communicator adept at summarizing findings, participating in meetings, supporting contract negotiations, collaborating with key stakeholders, and holding one-on-one conversations.

Capable of synthesizing data from multiple sources and distilling findings to support action steps for improvement.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, finance, or business administration; or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
