Must have skills in Ear, Nose, and Throat procedures including Direct Laryngoscopy, Clientl neck dissection, Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, and Tracheostomy. Must have skills in Endoscopic Procedures such as Colonoscopy, EGD, and Peg tube placement/exchange. Must have skills in General Surgery including Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, and Thyroidectomy. Must have skills in Gynecology procedures including Abdominal hysterectomy, Anterior/Posterior repair, and Dilation & Curettage. Must have skills in Neurosurgery cases including Craniotomy and Laminectomy/discectomy. Must have skills in Oral cases such as Repair of fractured jaws. Must have skills in Orthopedic procedures including Arthroscopy and Carpal tunnel release. Must have skills in Plastic Surgery for Free Flap procedures. Must have skills in Trauma cases including Amputations and Gunshot/stab wounds. Must have skills in Urology procedures including Cystoscopy and Nephrectomy. Must have skills in Emergency management and be familiar with Fire Safety protocols. Must have knowledge of Aseptic Technique, Isolation Precautions, and Universal Protocol procedures. Description: 18-26 weeks to help with Holiday coverage. Average daily census is 50-60 cases per day. Weekend requirements include working once a month with a total of 16 hours of obligation. On-call duties are required as needed for the department. Clinicians will float within their scope of practice to meet facility needs. All time off must be discussed and approved by the manager. Candidates will float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby. Floating is 100% required of all travelers. Required experience includes specialties in General Surgery, Trauma, Gynecology, and more. Familiarity with various surgical procedures and instrumentation is essential. Must comply with health and safety protocols. Experience in a Magnet Hospital and Level I Trauma center is preferred. Candidate must be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
