The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring our dishes and kitchen utensils meet our high standards of cleanliness. **Key Responsibilities:** - Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors. - Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils. - Load and unload dishwashing machines, ensuring that dishes are placed correctly for optimal cleaning. - Monitor detergent and chemical levels and notify management when supplies are low. - Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food and cleaning supplies. - Assist kitchen staff with the organization of storage spaces and inventory as needed. - Help with other kitchen duties as assigned, including food prep tasks during slower periods. **Qualifications:** - Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting preferred but not required. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively. - Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. **Physical Requirements:** - Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. - Must be able to lift and carry heavy items (up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]) as needed. - Capacity to work in a hot and humid environment, which is typical in kitchen settings.
