Goldman Sachs Overview Our Risk division develops comprehensive processes to monitor, assess, and manage the risks that could adversely affect the firm. Risk professionals perform critical daily risk management activities, lead projects, and help enhance our risk management framework. Collaboration with executive management, business units, control departments, and technology teams is essential for success. Job Description Deposits Vice President Risk Division Our Risk division focuses on monitoring, assessing, and managing risks that could impact the firm. Professionals execute essential risk activities, lead initiatives, and contribute to the evolution of risk strategies. Effective coordination with various departments and leadership is vital. Liquidity Risk (LR) Liquidity Risk is responsible for identifying, measuring, and managing the firm's liquidity risk. The team collaborates with Corporate Treasury, Controllers, Operations, and other divisions to provide independent risk assessment and oversight of liquidity risk management. Key Functions Include: Stress Testing: Developing methodologies, creating models, governance, assumption review, and risk measurement. Regulatory Stress Metrics & Advocacy: Calculating and communicating key regulatory metrics, engaging with regulators, and policy advocacy. Risk Limit Governance: Setting risk appetite, calibrating limits, monitoring utilization, and managing breaches. Analytics: Measuring, analyzing, and reporting risk metrics; developing risk platforms and visualization tools; ensuring data quality. Governance & Reviews: Ensuring compliance with regulations, evaluating new activities, engaging with committees, maintaining policies. Risk Oversight: Monitoring liquidity activities, cash and collateral management, funding, and balance sheet usage; engaging with risk-taking units. Engagement with Risk Leadership and Regulators: Discussing material risks, exposures, and governance. Responsibilities & Qualifications Collaborate with LR leadership to develop liquidity risk governance frameworks. Monitor limit utilization, manage breaches, and escalate issues. Work with engineering teams to model risks under stress scenarios; calibrate assumptions. Engage with business units to understand strategies, assess new activities, enforce limits, and ensure regulatory compliance. Interact with regional regulators to explain risk posture, clarify rules, and support advocacy efforts. Skills Required 7-10 years of experience in capital markets, deposits, or related areas in corporate cash management or consumer deposits. Interest in financial markets and risk management, with a focus on continuous learning. Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and influence change. Proactive attitude with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to build relationships remotely. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate across departments and levels of seniority.
