Director of Lung Transplant
in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, & Sleep Medicine to lead with a commitment to excellence in clinical, research, and educational missions. Eligible candidates should be at the
Associate Professor or Professor
level. The ideal candidate will have an emerging or established leadership background in Transplant Pulmonology at an academic center. Candidates must articulate a clear vision for a forward-thinking strategy to enhance growth in clinical operations and research. The Director will demonstrate the ability to lead a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team within a high-volume lung transplant program with ongoing growth. The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Led by Division Director Dr. Jeffrey Horowitz, the division offers a broad array of clinical opportunities, including general pulmonary and critical care, transplant pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and interventional pulmonary medicine. It is supported by clinical, translational, and basic research, along with substantial educational opportunities. The division has experienced significant growth in clinical and research activities over the past five years, attracting outstanding physicians, educators, investigators, and trainees. It features state-of-the-art facilities and a diverse patient population, with a focus on basic science, translational, clinical research, and specialized clinical programs that train future leaders. level Board Certified/Eligible in Adult Pulmonary Disease Board Certified/Eligible in Critical Care Medicine Fellowship trained in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Advanced training or experience in Lung Transplantation An active research program in basic, translational, clinical, or health services research is desirable Qualified for academic appointment at The Ohio State University; salary and rank will depend on training and experience Faculty Definitions Clinical faculty
(regardless of rank) are appointed for terms of 3-5 years, focus on clinical care, teaching, and research, but are not eligible for tenure. Tenure-track faculty
