Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Cardiac Catheterization Lab team in a high-acuity acute care setting. The ideal candidate will bring specialized TAVR and structural heart experience, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and structural heart procedures (including TAVR).
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, sedation levels, and hemodynamic status throughout procedures.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy per protocol.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR (Epic).
- Participate in on-call coverage, including weekends and weekdays as scheduled.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols.
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of recent nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a Cardiac Cath Lab or equivalent procedural setting.
- Must have TAVR and structural heart procedure experience.
- Strong critical care and procedural skills.
- Proficiency in Epic charting system preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Certifications:
- RN License of NY State
- AHA - BLS,ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- COVID Card
