Insurance Specialist I (Intake Specialist)
This position performs entry-level reviewing and entering consumer complaints into a complaint tracking system. Work may include handling record/referral-only complaints, indexing, typing correspondence, processing incoming mail and other administrative functions. Work may also necessitate communication with consumers, insurance company representatives, agents, and others. Employees at this level may rely on direction from others to solve problems that are not standard. Employees may also assist other staff in performing work of greater complexity. Works under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
This position:
Performs workflow duties such as indexing, composing correspondence, processing incoming mail and routing documents in a paperless environment.
Enter and process complaints related to insurance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
This position requires:
This position requires thirty college hours. PLUS:Six months of experience in technical insurance or in a field related to the assignment. Education and experience relevant to position requirements may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis. A bilingual ability to read and write both English and Spanish is preferred.
