CNC Machinist
Duration: Direct Hire
Location: 1425 West 2675 N Ogden, UT, 84404
Shift: 2nd (Mon-Thurs 3pm to 1:30am) or Weekend Shift (Fri-Sun 5am to 5pm)
Salary: $20/hr. - $40/hr. on w2 with full benefits (Based on Experience)
Note: Looking For Any Type Of Machinist. Out of state candidates can apply as Client can pay a $7500 (gross) lump sum for relocation assistance. Direct hire with full benefits are available.
Position Summary
Sets up and operates various conventional and/or numerically controlled machining centers on the most complex and difficult jobs. Works from blueprints, sketches, planning sheets, verbal instructions, and/or engineering, tooling, or equipment information. Contributes to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.
Role and Responsibilities
Runs multiple machines efficiently, which may require simultaneous operations. Adapts or improvises tooling to accomplish results where operations require a broad knowledge of production machining technology, operating skills, and shop techniques together with diversified experience. Sets up, adjusts, and operates a variety of conventional and/or special purpose machines to perform the most diversified and difficult production operations on work having close and exact tolerances, several dimensional relationships, unusual contours, dimensional and finish requirements. Interprets customer requirements from blueprints, complex drawings, engineering specifications, quality directive, charts, tables, sketches, and verbal instructions. Interfaces with engineering to resolve drawing errors, suggest design changes, and solve product/process problems. Implements manufacturing methods using standard production machines, materials, and tooling. May advise and assist with tooling design.
