Responsibilities

  • Responds to and follows up on customer, carrier, and agent inquiries to resolve issues, gather information, request policy changes, and process new policies.
  • Prepares and monitors insurance documents including renewals, certificates, claims, cancellations, and applications, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
  • Reviews existing client policies, verifies exposures, recommends additional coverages, and facilitates policy enhancements to ensure comprehensive protection.
  • Focuses on client retention through strong relationship-building, proactive service, and reliable follow-through on commitments.
  • Actively pursues new business through prospecting, referrals, cross-selling, and leveraging centers of influence.
  • Submits claims to carriers and supports clients with escalated claim situations, providing clear communication and follow-up.
  • Maintains office inventory, manages assigned projects, attends meetings and training sessions, and stays current on industry trends and regulatory updates.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree in business or marketing preferred, with 2-3 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and training; insurance agency and sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of insurance forms, terminology, bonds, and personal lines products required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and capable of efficient internet navigation; experience with EPIC Applied is preferred.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a state-specific insurance license; professional designations such as CISR or CIC are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate standard office equipment and use software tools to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional demeanor and communication skills for effective interaction with internal team members and external clients.
Additional Information
This job is expected to be performed on-site in the office.

Hourly range is $24 to $26 per hour.
