Physical Therapist - South Portland

Northern Light Home Care & Hospice in South Portland is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist. The position is located in South Portland and operates from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role offers temporary special pay of $2200 per week. Utilizing the latest technologies, you will provide physical therapy services to patients with medical/surgical, hospice, and palliative care needs. You will collaborate with the patient care team and participate in weekend rotations. A two-week orientation in our South Portland office is required, paid at $37 per hour. Special temporary pay begins the first full week after orientation and ends with the completion of your temporary assignment. You must have a current PT license in Maine, a CPR Card (BLS Healthcare Provider), a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and agency required auto liability insurance. You will be responsible for directing and supervising physical therapy services, maintaining accurate documentation, and adhering to the State of Maine Physical Therapist Practice Act and Northern Light Health Standards of Care/Practice.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing treatment programs, performing initial exams, evaluating treatment effects, and maintaining a safe environment. You will also provide clinical supervision, attend team meetings, and collaborate with team members and caregivers. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapist Education, with a Doctoral degree preferred.
