Description: This position involves working in a cardiovascular surgery environment. The nurse will participate in a variety of cardiac cases including CABG, valve replacement, and repair of aortic dissections. Experience with TAVR is necessary. Tasks also include assisting in thoracic surgeries such as daVinci assisted lobectomy, wedge resections, and mediastinal lymph node biopsies. The nurse will be responsible for ECMO management as part of the procedures performed in this role. Unit hours of operation are from 0630 to 1500. Call starts at 1500 when assigned. The dress code requires hospital-provided scrubs. Candidates are expected to adhere to unit guidelines and policies.
