Summary:
The Physical Therapist serves as an independent healthcare provider responsible for administrative and clinical management within the scope of practice for PACAF HPO. The role involves conducting examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, prognoses, interventions, and outcome assessments for assigned personnel, focusing on musculoskeletal conditions to support personnel readiness. The PT will also serve as a subject matter expert in injury management, prevention, and performance enhancement.
Responsibilities
- Complete all in-processing requirements and participate in job-specific training, including simulations and hands-on activities.
- Engage in operator training as approved by the COR.
- Conduct in-processing evaluations for new personnel.
- Manage complex neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders through various therapeutic techniques.
- Maintain patient care records according to DHA standards.
- Advise unit commanders on injury prevention and rehabilitation, and develop protocols and SOPs for PT programs.
- Handle administrative tasks including procurement and fiscal requests related to interventions.
- Provide injury prevention services, assessments, health education, and nutrition advising.
- Ensure safe operation of equipment used in patient care.
- Participate in staff meetings to review and improve physical training programs.
- Develop and modify individual training plans based on assessments and recovery progress.
- Utilize electronic systems for documentation and administrative responsibilities.
Qualifications
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong clinical evaluation and treatment skills in physical therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork ability.
- Proficiency with EMR systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program.
- Relevant certifications such as APTA Orthopedic or Sports Clinical Specialist, or equivalent training.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Recency within the last 2 years per DHA standards.
- At least 5 years of outpatient orthopedic PT experience.
- Experience in high-performance environments such as athletics or aerospace.
- U.S. citizenship.
Pay And Benefits
The salary range is $100,000-$115,000 annually. Goldbelt offers a competitive salary and benefits including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
