Machinist Job

Candidate will produce parts using standard machining processes. Duties include calculating dimensions and tolerances, fabricating assemblies or subassemblies using machine tools, making setup decisions, measuring and examining completed products, making adjustments and setup changes, aligning and securing fixtures, monitoring machine performance, evaluating the machining process, ensuring all PPE is in place, training and assisting machinists, and performing other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a trade school diploma in Machining/Machining Science, 7-9 years' work history in a machining environment, ability to read and machine product from complex engineering drawings, capability of controlling equipment, monitoring gauges, using advanced mathematics, selecting the right tool for the job, basic knowledge of CNC programming, producing products from engineering drawings, significant experience in precision measurement instruments, knowledge of raw materials used in the machining industry, ability to train others, and inspecting work area for safety hazards.

Physical Requirements include the ability to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces, climb/descend stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees, reach above/below shoulders, and specific vision abilities.
