Job Description

At Barren Ridge Physical Therapy-Stuarts Draft, we offer a wide range of specialized services, including orthopedic, sports medicine, workers' compensation, balance/fall prevention, foot and ankle, sports enhancement, vestibular, functional movement, therapeutic taping, trigger point dry needling, and medically supervised fitness programs. Our clinic has a long-standing reputation for delivering effective, personalized healthcare solutions. We seek a licensed physical therapist to join our team.

Responsibilities

Assess patients and develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results. Review the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required. Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines. Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers. Hold responsibility for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians. Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals. Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments. Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies. Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.

Qualifications

1+ years of experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Graduate from CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program. Current state of Virginia license and CPR certification. Able to create and implement outpatient orthopedic and balance treatment plans. Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment. Possesses basic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, Database software, and MS Office.
