Colon And Rectal Surgery Faculty Member

The Department of Surgery at Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center seeks to recruit a full-time faculty member to join the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Candidates must be board certified/board eligible in colon and rectal surgery. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills in a wide range of diseases of the colon and rectum including using robotic, laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques. This position will provide clinical care at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Milton, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham, and BIDMC Boston. Responsibilities may include teaching of medical students and surgery residents at BIDMC. Appointment as Lecturer, Part-time at Harvard Medical School will be available.

In addition, the Department of Surgery will be engaged in the newly announced and exciting clinical collaboration between Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), BIDMC, and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England's only free-standing adult inpatient cancer hospital. The collaboration will bring together world-class clinicians to deliver transformational, precision medicine in an environment solely dedicated to defying cancer.

  1. BIDH Milton is a 100-bed community hospital located 9 miles south of Boston.
  2. BIDH Needham is a 73-bed acute care community hospital with more than 500 physicians on staff west of Boston.
  3. Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is an academic medical center located in the heart of Boston with 743-beds and Level 1 Trauma Center.
