About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Infusion Insurance Authorization Specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you'll help ensure patients receive timely access to their prescribed infusion treatments by securing insurance approvals and managing account balances. You'll also play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting patients through the billing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Secure prior authorizations for infusion therapies from insurance providers.
- Monitor and manage delinquent accounts; perform follow-ups and collections.
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies and payment posting issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address insurance payment and billing errors.
- Contact patients to verify insurance, update records, and collect outstanding balances.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing, insurance, and payment plans.
- Recommend accounts for collections or write-offs when necessary.
- Ensure timely processing of refunds in compliance with government regulations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and all applicable laws.
- Support other administrative tasks as needed.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience with insurance verification or prior authorization for infusions.
- Strong understanding of healthcare billing and insurance processes.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and payer portals is a plus.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
