ABOUT THE ROLE
ProfessionLX specializes in professional services where we engage our employees to empower them to excel for our customers. We are currently seeking full-time Front Desk Support Specialists candidates to join our team in support of the US Air Force in Hanscom Air Force Base. This position will serve as the primary point of contact at the Military & Family Readiness Center front desk, providing reception, scheduling, and customer service support while entering and maintaining data in web-based systems like AFFIRST and DoD TAP. Responsibilities also include generating reports, managing communication, and ensuring a welcoming and organized front desk environment. Successful candidates will possess a minimum of 1 year customer service experience and experience with Microsoft software.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this role, youll be the welcoming face and helpful voice of the Military & Family Readiness Center. Youll greet visitors, answer phone calls, and make sure each person gets connected to the right team member or program. Youll also help schedule clients for classes and workshops, making sure they have the information they need and even sending them reminders before their sessions.
Beyond the front desk, you'll keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. This includes entering and managing data in systems like AFFIRST and the DoD TAP platform. Youll ensure that workshop attendance is tracked, monthly usage reports are created, and that everything is documented clearly and accurately.
Youll also take ownership of the front desk space itselfkeeping things tidy, arranging materials and resources, and reporting any maintenance issues. Throughout the day, youll be looking for opportunities to raise awareness of the Centers services, all while maintaining a friendly, professional tone. In short, youll be an essential part of both the customer experience and the behind-the-scenes operations that make the M&FRC run.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a professional setting, preferably in a front desk or administrative support role
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-line phone systems, greet and assist walk-in clients, and direct inquiries appropriately
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping using web-based systems
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and web browsers (Edge/Chrome)
- Comfortable scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, and sending automated communications (e.g., class reminders)
- Proven ability to generate usage reports, maintain logs, and ensure compliance with privacy and security standards
- Familiarity with military culture, family support services, and working in a government or base setting is a plus
- High School Diploma
