Essential Functions
- Crush prep tasks with precision-chop, slice, dice, and sauté like a pro across all assigned stations.
- Keep the gears humming -check all kitchen equipment before service and flag any issues to the chef team ASAP.
- Handle guest vibes like a pro -pass any feedback or complaints directly to the Executive Chef for resolution.
- Follow the playbook -execute dishes to spec using standardized recipes with flair and consistency.
- Stay sharp -keep up with evolving menus, plating trends, and house recipes to stay ahead of the curve.
- Respect the cold chain -store, label, and rotate ingredients following HACCP and food safety protocols.
- Be the eyes on safety -report hazards or sketchy practices immediately to management.
- Sync with the squad -coordinate with BOH and FOH to keep service smooth and seamless.
- Clean as you go -maintain a spotless station and sanitize surfaces throughout the shift.
- Start and end strong -ensure your area is clean and sanitized before, during, and after service.
- Label like a legend -date and tag all prepped items for proper rotation and inventory control.
- Pass the torch -train new team members when assigned, sharing skills and standards.
- Stock smart -requisition ingredients and supplies from storage with accuracy and accountability.
- Follow the flow -adhere to proper food issuing and check handling procedures.
- Own your space -maintain daily cleanliness and organization to keep the kitchen safe and efficient.
- Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and standards-including those outlined in the employee handbook.
- Be flexible-this is a 24/7 operation. Expect to work shifts that align with business needs, not just personal preference.
- Prior cooking experience required-bring the heat and the hustle.
- Previous kitchen experience-know your way around the line.
- Ability to stand for extended periods-this is a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift heavy items-ingredients, equipment, and bulk supplies.
- Solid operational knowledge of kitchen tools and equipment-know how to use them, clean them, and respect them.
