Job Description
J+M Infrastructure is a Utilities, Site & Civil Contractor. We excel in Civil Construction and Site Development Contracting with an emphasis on Utilities and Excavation. We assist with new construction projects by performing demolition, clearing, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete work, water mains, sewer and storm drainage throughout central and southwest Virginia.
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer with experience in site-civil construction. The Project Engineer works closely with the site superintendent and the project manager to maintain smooth operations of all aspects of sitework. It is a position that requires organization and diplomacy. This highly motivated candidate will need to maintain relationships with owners, vendors, subcontractors, field employees and office staff.
General Requirements
Site Responsibilities:
• Jobsite coordination
• Track production
• Schedule equipment moves from one site to another with the assistance of the superintendent.
• Manage vendors, subs and materials on site including working with superintendent on scheduling deliveries of materials and scheduling vendors subs
• Attend weekly jobsite meetings (Tuesday and Wednesday). Take notes (meeting minutes) and record in Dropbox.
• Collect employees forms from site personnel
• Collect 2 Week Look Ahead from foreman
Management Responsibilities:
• Creation of project schedules
• Creation of and overseeing project budgets
• Keeping track of project schedules and recording changes and delays to the schedule, including scope changes, weather or other delays
• Create and document SC-1's (Subcontractor Estimate for Change Request)
• Create subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Approve Subcontractor and Vendor invoices for payment
• Keep daily log of project progress, including materials and manpower
• Maintain communication lines with Contractor and attend meetings as required
• Assist with estimates and take-offs and sub and vendor quotes

.Pay application review

• Plans-Updates and distributions

Schedule
