An experienced Senior Control Systems Integrator is needed to team up with our engineers to integrate process control systems and SCADA for a variety of municipal water/wastewater infrastructure improvement projects. An ideal candidate has expert-level experience in PLC, touchscreen HMI, and SCADA programming, on-site commissioning, and start-ups. They possess a willingness to undertake roles as needed and learn new skills and tools.
Responsibilities include:
- Integrate process control systems for municipal and public works projects, as well as private development, working within a defined project scope and budget
- Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming that brings the intended project Process and Controls Engineering to fruition in the duties of a system operator; utilizing automation in a manner tailored to a client's specific needs.
- Collaborate actively with Electrical and Controls Engineers and actively develop project control system and SCADA construction specifications, plans and other drawings including but not limited to:
- P&IDs
- Instrumentation Plans
- Control Panel Shop Drawings
- Panel Elevations
- Network Diagrams
- Process Control Strategies
- Instrumentation Specifications
- Control System Specifications
- Design intuitive user interfaces for end user ease of use, and at-a-glance understanding of live process data.
- Preparation of documents conforming to company standards
- Review equipment data sheets for key technical information
- Perform on-site Industrial Control Panel factory acceptance testing, control system site acceptance testing, and final process commissioning and startup activities.
- Evaluate client sites and document existing infrastructure with focus on project needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Associates degree in related field with or bachelor's degree in related field with 8+ years of PLC and SCADA programming and controls integration
- International Society of Automation Certified Control Systems Technician - Level 1 or above.
- Allen Bradley PLC & Inductive Automation's Ignition SCADA platform programming experience preferred
- SCADA, networking, and communications design experience preferred
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to personally manage several projects
- Decision-making skills and the ability to collaborate with engineers to solve complex problems
- Experience with UL 508A & 698A guidelines for Industrial Control panels is a plus
