Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Location: Reisterstown, MD
Employment Type: Full-time / Direct Hire
Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000 base (negotiable based on experience)
Additional Compensation: Bonus / Profit Sharing

About the Role
SNI Companies are seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our client's team. This is a hands-on role to help maintain and repair our client's fleet of heavy diesel-powered construction equipment.
You'll be the go-to expert ensuring their equipment runs at peak performance - from excavators and bulldozers to loaders and light trucks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site maintenance and repairs of heavy diesel-powered equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and more.
- Occasional Travel to job sites within 25-30 miles to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections.
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Perform light truck maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Operate safely and efficiently in all field work.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in heavy equipment/diesel engine maintenance and repair.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, particularly with diesel engines.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Experience with diagnostic tools and complex machinery components.
- Light truck maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Technical certification or post-secondary training in diesel/heavy equipment mechanics preferred but not required.
