Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgical Technician to join our dynamic operating room team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, is detail-oriented, and has extensive experience supporting orthopedic cases from setup to close. This role is vital in ensuring our surgeons and clinical staff can work seamlessly to provide outstanding outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field for all assigned cases.

  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during orthopedic procedures.

  • Proficiently handle instruments, implants, and specialty orthopedic equipment.

  • Assist with room turnover and maintain efficiency in a high-volume surgical environment.

  • Adhere to all infection control and patient safety standards.

  • Collaborate closely with nurses, anesthesia providers, and fellow techs to ensure a smooth surgical flow.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

  • Minimum of 2 years of orthopedic surgical experience (ASC or hospital OR setting).

  • Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST) preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of orthopedic instruments, implants, and equipment.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.

  • Current BLS certification required.
