What You'll Do:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical systems on railcars
- Assemble interior and exterior trim, seats, vestibules, and truck components
- Conduct visual inspections and quality checks throughout production
- Install emergency exits, fixed windows, body and side doors and panels
- Complete accurate documentation of inspection and production activities
What We're Looking For:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical certification is a plus)
- 2+ years of experience in a mechanical or production environment
- Familiarity with HAZCOM, lock out/tag out, and cutting equipment
- Comfortable using both standard and metric measurement tools and reading blueprints
- Proficient in basic math and computer data entry
- Good hand-eye coordination and steady manual dexterity
- Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset
- Experience using drills, taps, and extracting broken bolts/screws
Physical and Other Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Frequently required to stand, walk and perform manual tasks
- Occasionally required to kneel, stoop, or climb
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
