The Senior Financial Analyst will produce financial reports and analyses to support the company's business operations and departmental needs.
Wages
The starting salary for this role ranges from $82,482 to $123,442, depending on experience and education.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly reports (expenses vs. budget and prior year, bank fee analysis, insurance accounting, rental contract stats, dividend summaries, credits, dashboards, headcount) and annual reports (dealer forms, retirement plan fees).
- Assist in developing a monthly branch income statement analysis template and begin preparing analyses for branches.
- Create ad-hoc financial analyses to interpret complex business results clearly.
- Support the Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis in annual budget preparation.
- Learn to prepare the monthly Senior Management Financial Package, Branch Trend Graphs, and manually run Cognos Sales Flash as backup support.
- Enhance report accuracy and assist in improving accounting results.
- Contribute to the development of the financial function within the company.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting-related technology systems used by the company.
- Provide guidance to other accounting personnel and management within your area of expertise.
- Participate in other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is required; MBA or CPA is desirable. Five to ten years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience is required. Strong Excel skills are essential; SQL experience is a plus.
Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret complex financial reports, legal documents, and technical journals. Ability to respond effectively to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or the business community. Capable of presenting information clearly to senior management, boards, and public groups.
Proficiency in mathematical concepts, including probability, statistics, geometry, and trigonometry, and applying fractions, ratios, and percentages to practical situations, is required.
Must be able to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions and work independently to meet deadlines.
