Associate Geologist (CA)

Responsibilities

  • Accept field and office tasks from PMs and senior personnel related to geology, geotechnical, and earthwork.
  • Respond to geotechnical-related requests from job sites.
  • Perform geologic mapping and logging of various types in accordance with USCS and Caltrans standards.
  • Prepare geotechnical reports.
  • Prepare geohazard reports for DSA projects (CA only).
  • Prepare geotechnical proposals and prepare schedule of work.
  • Solicit bids from subcontractors and manage field geotechnical investigation tasks.
  • Attend to the progress of active investigations weekly by discussing ongoing steps with principals.
  • Manage mandatory pre drill and post drill meetings with PMs and principals as needed.
  • Prepare and present trainings to technicians on geological and geotechnical services where requested.
  • Travel where appropriate for oversight and data collection.
  • Travel may be to any Fenagh or CTS office location, or client location.

Requirements

  • Requires at least 3 years experience and registration as a CA professional geologist (PG), preferred.
