Associate Geologist (CA)
Responsibilities
- Accept field and office tasks from PMs and senior personnel related to geology, geotechnical, and earthwork.
- Respond to geotechnical-related requests from job sites.
- Perform geologic mapping and logging of various types in accordance with USCS and Caltrans standards.
- Prepare geotechnical reports.
- Prepare geohazard reports for DSA projects (CA only).
- Prepare geotechnical proposals and prepare schedule of work.
- Solicit bids from subcontractors and manage field geotechnical investigation tasks.
- Attend to the progress of active investigations weekly by discussing ongoing steps with principals.
- Manage mandatory pre drill and post drill meetings with PMs and principals as needed.
- Prepare and present trainings to technicians on geological and geotechnical services where requested.
- Travel where appropriate for oversight and data collection.
- Travel may be to any Fenagh or CTS office location, or client location.
Requirements
- Requires at least 3 years experience and registration as a CA professional geologist (PG), preferred.
