Family Nanny Position
A warm and welcoming family in Oregon, near Portland, is seeking a full-time, professional career nanny to join their household and provide attentive, developmentally focused care. The family has thoughtfully arranged expert support during the earliest stages and is now looking to welcome a long-term caregiver who will play a vital role in the child's growth and development. This position offers the option to live in or live out, with private accommodations available if needed.
They are seeking a highly experienced nanny with a deep understanding of early childhood development and a passion for fostering learning through play. A background in education or child development is preferred, along with a calm, confident presence and an ability to proactively support evolving needs. Multilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, as the family values language exposure and cultural enrichment.
The role offers a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours. Responsibilities include nurturing the child's development, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and supporting light child-related household tasks. The home is supported by additional staff, allowing the nanny to focus fully on the child's care and well-being.
While travel is not expected initially, the family hopes to include their nanny in future travel, both domestic and international. A collaborative environment is offered, with open communication and mutual respect at the heart of the household.
Compensation is highly competitiveranging from $30 to $45 per hour depending on experienceand includes paid vacation, holidays, sick time, and a health insurance stipend. The start date is flexible for the right candidate.
Qualifications
- BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
- UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
- THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
- A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
- 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
- EXCELLENT WORK AND PERSONAL REFERENCES
- U.S. DRIVER'S LICENSE (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO NYC RESIDENTS)
- MUST BE A COMPETENT SWIMMER (IF AND WHEN REQUIRED)
- NON-SMOKER
