Senior Financial Analyst
The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a key member of the Finance team, contributing to accurate financial reporting, efficient planning processes, and data-driven decision-making. This role actively supports the monthly close process and drives insights through forecasting, analysis, and performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor financial performance and trends across key metrics
- Analyze significant variances and uncover root causes
- Perform balance sheet reviews and manage account reconciliations
- Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial analyses
- Support the month-end close process: journal entries, P&L updates, variance analysis
- Analyze actual results vs. plan and prior year; identify key business drivers
- Develop and maintain monthly reporting dashboards for leadership
- Provide actionable recommendations through variance and performance analysis
- Maintain rolling projection models across cost centers and expense lines
- Support budget and forecasting processes (bi-annual cycles)
- Assist with internal and external audit data requests
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to support executive decision-making
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, MBA, or a related field preferred
- CPA license a plus
- 3+ years of public accounting experience
- 3+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role in industry
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Proficiency in PowerPoint for executive-ready presentations
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Intacct, or Oracle Financials
- Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is a strong plus
- Experience with financial tools such as Hyperion and Datarails
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines
