Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a key member of the Finance team, contributing to accurate financial reporting, efficient planning processes, and data-driven decision-making. This role actively supports the monthly close process and drives insights through forecasting, analysis, and performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor financial performance and trends across key metrics
  • Analyze significant variances and uncover root causes
  • Perform balance sheet reviews and manage account reconciliations
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial analyses
  • Support the month-end close process: journal entries, P&L updates, variance analysis
  • Analyze actual results vs. plan and prior year; identify key business drivers
  • Develop and maintain monthly reporting dashboards for leadership
  • Provide actionable recommendations through variance and performance analysis
  • Maintain rolling projection models across cost centers and expense lines
  • Support budget and forecasting processes (bi-annual cycles)
  • Assist with internal and external audit data requests
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support executive decision-making

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, MBA, or a related field preferred
  • CPA license a plus
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role in industry
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint for executive-ready presentations
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Intacct, or Oracle Financials
  • Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is a strong plus
  • Experience with financial tools such as Hyperion and Datarails
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines
