Senior Associate/VP of Asset Management
We are working with a leading real estate investment firm with a diverse national portfolio of multifamily properties. Their team is committed to driving long-term value through strategic asset management, operational excellence, and disciplined investment practices. They are seeking a high-performing Senior Associate/VP of Asset Management to join our team in San Antonio and oversee a regional portfolio of multifamily assets.
Responsibilities include:
- Portfolio Oversight: Manage the performance of a portfolio of multifamily assets (typically Class A & B), ensuring operational targets, NOI growth, and value-add strategies are achieved.
- Financial Performance: Monitor property financials, prepare asset-level forecasts, analyze variances, and implement corrective strategies.
- Strategic Planning: Create and execute business plans, capital improvement strategies, and repositioning initiatives for each asset.
- CapEx Management: Oversee property renovations and capital projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Revenue Optimization: Partner with property managers to drive rent growth, control expenses, and optimize leasing and retention performance.
- Investor Reporting: Prepare quarterly reports, asset summaries, and presentations for investment partners and internal stakeholders.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on market conditions, competitive properties, and local economic trends to inform decision-making.
- Transaction Support: Assist with dispositions, refinancings, and acquisitions as needed, including underwriting and due diligence support.

The successful applicant will have:
- 6-10+ years of real estate asset management experience, with a strong focus on multifamily assets.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of driving NOI growth and asset value in a similar role.
- Deep understanding of multifamily operations, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Strong project management skills, particularly with CapEx planning and execution.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel, Argus, and property management platforms (e.g., Yardi, RealPage).
