Job Summary

Responsible for performing vascular ultrasound examinations on patients. Duties include preparing patients for exams, operating ultrasound equipment, and interpreting ultrasound images. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes

Essential Functions

  • Prepare patients for vascular ultrasound exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and applying gel to the skin.

Qualifications

Education: Associate's Degree in Sonography required

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No

Licenses and Credentials: MA State License (required) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required)

Preferred Certifications: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Certified Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

Experience: Prior experience working in a similar role 2-3 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience with vascular ultrasound equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail.
