Senior Fund Accountant & Valuations
Michelle Espejo with Robert Half Financial Services is recruiting for a Senior Fund Accountant & Valuations at a prominent venture capital firm. This is a full-time permanent role based in Menlo Park with a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities:
- Lead and document quarterly valuations of portfolio companies, including key assumptions and market inputs
- Present valuation results and insights to auditors and the valuation committee
- Support quarterly close reviews, financial statements, and partner statements
- Help prepare quarterly and annual audited financials
- Review capital call and distribution calculations
- Manage cash flow, reconciliations, and capital call planning
- Mentor and develop fund accountants
- Prepare audit materials and respond to auditor questions
- Handle LP inquiries and ensure timely, accurate reporting and distributions
Requirements:
- 37 years of experience in public accounting, fund accounting (venture capital or asset management)
- Strong investment valuation experience
- CPA preferred but not a must
- Comfort working in a hands-on role helping to drive accounting close and yearly audit
- Advanced Excel modeling skills
- Previous experience with ERP systems (specifically Investran, Intacct, QuickBooks) a plus
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent
