Financial Analyst - Radiology

Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Financial Analyst - Radiology. This position will be responsible for the accounting, financial analysis, and general ledger functions for NYU Hospitals Center and will report to the Manager. The staff accountant will support the operational departments with financial information and analytical support on an as-needed basis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participates in internal development opportunities.
- Assist the Manager with the day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the Accounting Department.
- Perform analytical review of various sections of the income statement and provide explanations for significant variances.
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and analyses.
- Preparation of journal entries.
- Preparation of audit schedules and analyses.
- Performs ad hoc analysis to support the decision-making processes of departments.
- Assist in quarterly debt covenant report.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements.
- Concurrently perform multiple assignments.
- Assist with documenting accounting transactions, using procedures defined by internal and external stakeholders.
- Apply the financial policies and procedures of the company. Bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of the manager.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and senior management. Positively represents the Institution when dealing with outside institutions, donors, consultants, and others.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field, with 1-3 years relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal. Possess strong customer service and problem-solving skill sets. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $75,843.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
