Senior Tax Analyst

MKS is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join our corporate tax and treasury department and play an integral role on our team. The ideal candidate will be a person of sound experience in federal and US international tax, including tax accounting and reporting. This position will be hybrid and based primarily in our headquarters in Andover, MA (3 days) and will report to the Director, US & Global Tax Planning and will assist with managing the day-to-day operations of U.S. international tax compliance and planning. The candidate will also be responsible for assisting with implementation of international tax strategies and tax research. Also, the Sr Tax Analyst will ensure company complies with worldwide statutory tax reporting specifications. Focus areas include transfer pricing and intercompany transactions, with specific focus on US International outbound transactions. Help develop strategies to minimize corporate tax through use of tax laws and regulations. May be involved with tax implications of mergers and acquisitions. Compiles information for statutory reports as well as internal tax reporting. Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns as a part of the broader tax team.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Assist in the calculation and review of E&P, GILTI, Subpart F, FDII, BEAT and FTC for the tax return and quarterly tax provision.
  • Support dividend planning and internal legal entity reorganizations.
  • Prepare and/or review US tax compliance forms for foreign entities such as F5471 and F8858 and F8832.
  • Help in the s.861expense allocation process for FTC and FDII computations as well as the preparation of F1118.
  • Maintain necessary tax basis and compute Section 986(c), 987 and 988 Gain or Loss.
  • Help drive process improvements to achieve operational efficiencies while providing analytical and data support for tax planning team.
  • Research and interpret current and emerging tax regulations and foreign tax audits to analyze the impact on the company.
  • Help prepare responses to IRS Information Document Requests (IDRs).
  • Help maintain and update U.S. International compliance structure on tax software.

Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Master of Science in Taxation (MST) a plus.
  • A motivated and enthusiastic professional with the ability to work independently or as a team with 3+ years of experience in: The tax function at a multinational corporation and/or a public accounting firm. E&P, GILTI, BEAT, Subpart F, FDII and other U.S. international or pertinent Federal tax areas. U.S. GAAP tax reporting for a multinational company.
  • Ambition and willingness to learn and gain knowledge on US and Non-US international tax rules and concepts (with mentoring from an experienced global tax team and CPE backing).

Preferred Skills:

  • A strong knowledge of Excel is required, with the ability to navigate through and modify tax planning and compliance models.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, HFM, CorpTax and/or OneSource software a plus.
