Job Overview

ACI Health is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented X-ray Technologist to join our team at a respected short-term acute care teaching hospital. This role involves performing a variety of radiographic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients across all age groups. The ideal candidate is experienced, certified, and committed to delivering high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized diagnostic X-ray examinations in inpatient, outpatient, and portable settings
  • Ensure accurate positioning and image quality according to physician orders and radiology protocols
  • Prepare and operate radiologic equipment, including mobile units and C-Arm systems
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to support timely and effective patient care
  • Follow established infection control and safety procedures, including isolation precautions
  • Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain patient records using hospital systems (Epic preferred)
  • Provide age-appropriate care across a broad patient population, from infants to older adults

Requirements

  • ARRT certification required
  • OBMI (Oregon Board of Medical Imaging) license required
  • BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
  • Minimum of 1 year clinical X-ray experience
  • Willingness to work every weekend
  • Experience working with a diverse patient population (neonate to older adult)
  • First-time travelers are welcome

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in radiologic anatomy and positioning
  • Strong understanding of portable and surgical imaging
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR (preferred but not required)
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
