Scope Of Position
The Senior Accountant is responsible for financial data integrity and for executing all processes related to monthly accounting close, including the preparation of account reconciliations and monthly close journal entries, and ensuring all transactions are recorded in the general ledger based on US GAAP. Experience with month end close, account reconciliations, revenue recognition and internal controls are very important. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are required qualifications for this position, as well as the ability to communicate clearly both internally and externally. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, a team player, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
Duties And Responsibilities

• Review contracts and inventory to compile revenue recognition entries and analysis for proper classification to ensure accurate financial records.
• Prepare and record journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations by reconciling balance sheet accounts and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements and cash flows.
• Analyze budget to actual and prior year variances as well as month-to-month changes.
• Support month-end and year-end close.
• Assist with documenting and updating accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with the audits, tax returns and other compliance tasks.
• Perform backup duties when accounting staff are out of the office.
• Other duties as assigned.
  

• 3-5+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting, required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organizational ability.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
