Position Overview
Weaver seeks a Manager or Senior Manager specializing in tax controversy to join our National Tax Office team. The role involves representing individuals and businesses in tax disputes with authorities, developing strategies for resolutions at all stages, and managing multiple matters. The candidate should interpret tax laws effectively, develop supporting positions, and prepare responses to tax authorities.
This role works closely with firm leadership and involves business development, firm administration, and team management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or JD
- 5+ years of tax controversy experience
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Accounting
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills
- Ability to attract and serve new clients and expand existing services
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary range is $125,000 to $290,000, depending on experience, skills, certifications, and location. We offer comprehensive health benefits, a 401(k) plan, flexible time off, sick leave, holidays, recharge days, and in-house CPE and training programs. We also have an internal leadership coaching program, WeaverLEAD, to foster leadership development across the firm.
