Position Summary
The RECA Outreach Benefits Special Coordinator identifies and assists individuals impacted by nuclear weapons testing and uranium industry work including uranium miners, millers, core drillers, and ore transporters who may qualify for benefits under RECA. This role focuses on outreach, education, and lead generation to connect eligible individuals with resources and support. The coordinator will assist the Outreach Benefits Advisor in collecting and submitting Authorized Representative (AR) Referral Forms.
Key Responsibilities
•Community Outreach: Identify and engage potential RECA claimants through in-person, phone, and virtual outreach.
•Education & Advocacy: Explain RECA eligibility, claims process, and benefits to individuals and families.
•Relationship Building: Develop partnerships with community leaders, organizations, and tribal groups.
•Event Representation: Attend events and town halls to promote awareness and generate referrals.
•Presentation Delivery: Distribute materials and provide group or one-on-one education sessions.
•CRM Management: Track outreach activities and contacts using internal systems.
•Event & Documentation Support: Help coordinate events and gather required documentation for claims.
•Professionalism: Maintain clear, empathetic communication and efficient task management.
Compensation and Perks
$250 per Qualified Lead : Paid upon acceptance of completed AR Referral Forms by an authorized third-party representative.
Travel Expenses : Airfare, transportation, accommodations, and gas reimbursed per UEW travel policy.
Per Diem : $50/day for meals during travel. Pre-approved hotel stays provided as needed.
Qualifications
•Experience in sales, preferably in healthcare or outreach settings.
•Proficiency in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and basic technology tools.
•Background in marketing, public relations, or event planning preferred.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Passion for helping communities and driving awareness of government benefits.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
•Extended periods of computer and phone use.
•Regular travel for community engagement and events.
•Must communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
•Must maintain punctuality and professionalism in all work settings.
