The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role on the FP&A team analyzing current, historical and future trends with a focus on revenue, gross margin and selling, general and administrative expenses. The senior analyst will propose recommendations for improvement utilizing knowledge of industry, best practices, and the companys reporting systems. In addition, he or she will support the organizations financial forecasts and annual budgeting process. The FP&A function acts as the analytical engine of the organization, providing insight and supporting optimal business decision making.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Budgeting and Forecasting Support financial planning for the business by providing insights for budgeting and forecasting activities. Build and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional business partners to develop annual financial plans and ongoing forecasts
- Financial Modeling Create and maintain ad-hoc financial models and schedules sourcing data from multiple systems. Respond timely to business requests including analysis of international regions, departments, and the company as a whole
- Financial Analysis Analyze, communicate, identify and advise management on the key drivers of the business (against history, budget, forecast)
- Financial Systems Develop financial reports and ensure data integrity across multiple deliverables and audiences
- Borrowing Base & Debt Management Prepare and submit a weekly borrowing base report for lender review, ensuring compliance with asset-based lending (ABL) requirements. Monitor and optimize borrowing capacity while providing insights on funding needs
- Assist Finance Management with other special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as needed
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years related experience in a corporate financial analysis role
EDUCATION & SKILLS
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university; a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field required or equivalent experience
- Ability to interact cross-functionally with other departments
COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills (Access skills desirable)
- SAP S/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud experience a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have flexible use of hands and talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to walk and sit.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- General office environment
- The role is in office during core hours at least three days per week, Tuesday- Thursday, and onsite Monday-Friday during Week 3 of each month.
