A well-established boutique CPA firm in Woodbury, Long Island is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This firm offers a collaborative and supportive work environment, with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.

About the Firm:

This boutique public accounting firm serves a diverse client base and is known for its approachable partners, low turnover, and steady growth. The role is split approximately 65% tax and 35% accounting, with minimal audit involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual, corporate, and trust tax returns
• Manage monthly closings, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Work directly in QuickBooks for a range of small to mid-sized business clients
• Contribute to audit engagements on a very limited, as-needed basis
• Maintain strong client communication and project ownership

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in accounting
• Solid experience in tax preparation and general accounting
• Proficient with QuickBooks and monthly close processes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Reports directly to one of the firms partners
• 5 days/week onsite (9am5pm)
• Summer Fridays
• During tax season, overtime is paid at 1.25x the hourly rate for hours worked beyond 40/week
