Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families facing complex cardiac conditions? We are seeking a Pediatric Cardiovascular Echo Sonographer to join our specialized, high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional care for our youngest patients.

In this highly skilled role, you will independently perform advanced cardiovascular ultrasound studies, with a strong focus on pediatric patients from premature infants to adolescents. You'll play a critical part in supporting life-saving care through expert imaging and collaboration with a renowned multidisciplinary team.

The role will be based at both the Legacy Health Emanuel and Randall locations. You may be scheduled to work at either site depending on operational needs.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

  • Perform comprehensive, diagnostic-quality echocardiograms
  • Support complex procedures
  • Demonstrate expertise in identifying congenital heart disease
  • Provide exceptional care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Collaborate directly with pediatric cardiologists, surgeons, and specialized care teams

What you bring

  • Proficiency in pediatric and adult echocardiography
  • Skilled in intra-operative pediatric structural imaging
  • Ability to adapt procedures in real time
  • Deep understanding of neonatal and pediatric specialized care
Qualifications

Education:

  • Completion of accredited cardiac sonography or echocardiography certificate program
  • Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound, Radiology, Biological Sciences, or relevant health sciences field preferred

Work Experience:

  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience performing echocardiography imaging required
  • Pediatric echocardiography experience required
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience performing echocardiography imaging preferred

Skills:

  • Ability to conduct transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms
  • Strong understanding of ultrasound technology and cardiac anatomy
  • Ability to maintain operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment
  • Ability to assess images for clarity and relevance
  • Ability to perform examinations, recognizing the significance of all structures
  • Ability to document and prepare preliminary reports
  • Ability to explain procedures clearly and interact effectively
  • Ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Demonstrate flexibility performing tests/scans
  • May assist in clinical research and training of new staff
  • Technical proficiency and ability to navigate electronic health systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as a care team member
  • Demonstrates analytical decision-making skills
  • Ability to switch from adult to pediatric patients with ease
  • Able to perform intra-operative pediatric structural cardiac exams
  • Knowledgeable in neonatal and pediatric specialized care
Licensure
  • The current state license in Sonography is required
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credentials are required
  • Pediatric credentials (PE) preferred
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required

Pay Range

USD $52.63 - USD $75.26 /Hr.
