Job Title: Senior Associate (open to Tax Associates as well)

Key Performance Objectives

• Prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses in compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Review tax returns for accuracy and identify any issues that may require additional research or client consultation.
• Ensure clients adhere to compliance-related deadlines, including extensions, tax estimates, and return filings.
• Conduct research on tax laws to assess the impact of new legislation and adjust planning strategies accordingly.
• Prepare reports and documentation for tax filings to support audits and appeals.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure all work meets professional and regulatory standards.
• Communicate with clients to address tax-related inquiries and provide strategic tax planning advice.
• Assist in developing in-house tax training programs to enhance team knowledge and efficiency.
• Support the Tax Manager by gathering information and drafting responses for IRS and state notices received by clients.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) license preferred.
• 2+ years of tax preparation experience.
• Self-starter with high energy and a positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and professionalism.
• Ability to inspire teamwork and responsibility within the engagement team.
• Experience with CCH ProSystem FX preferred.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
