CT Technologist
Performs CT procedures following protocols established by the referring physicians or Radiologists. Operates CT scanner to produce cross sectional anatomical images of consistent optimal quality. Operates CT equipment in a safe and appropriate manner, following established safety guidelines. Performs MRI studies following set protocol established by the Radiologists. Operates the MRI scanner to produce images of consistent optimal quality. Prepares scan room and equipment as appropriate. Positions patient, coils and equipment as required. Maintains communication with the patient throughout the scanning procedure.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required) Non Degree Program: Graduate from a two-year AMA approved radiologic technology program. (Required)
Experience: General experience and knowledge of cross sectional anatomy (Required) General Experience as a CT Scan Technologist (Preferred)
License/Certifications: ARRT - Amer Reg Radiologic Technlgst (Required) BLS - Basic Life Support (Required) RT(R(CT) - Reg Technologist (R) (CT) (Preferred) RT(R(MR) - Reg Technologist (R) (MR) (Preferred)
