About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven General Accountant to join our onsite team in Aventura, FL. This position supports a range of business verticals and requires a strong background in full-cycle bookkeeping, financial reporting, and contractor oversight. Fluency in English and Russian is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and manage full-cycle bookkeeping across multiple business entities
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with all internal processes and accounting standards
• Generate financial reporting for review by the CPA
• Manage 24 outsourced accounting contractors, ensuring timelines and quality of deliverables
• Maintain QuickBooks for daily financial tracking and reporting
• Oversee payroll processing, with a focus on ensuring that the bank's records match the company's records
  

Key Aspects Of Full-Cycle Bookkeeping Include

• Recording Transactions: Identifying and documenting all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments
• Journal Entries: Recording transactions in a journal, which serves as a chronological log of financial activity
• General Ledger Posting: Posting journal entries to the general ledger, the central record of all company financial accounts
• Accounts Receivable and Payable Management: Tracking amounts owed by customers and to suppliers
• Bank Reconciliations: Ensuring that the bank's records match the company's records
• Payroll Processing: Ensuring that the bank's records match the company's records for all wage-related payments
• Financial Statement Preparation: Generating income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Closing the Books: Preparing for the next accounting period by adjusting temporary accounts and transferring balances to permanent accounts
  

Qualifications

• 35 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping
• Strong command of full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll processing
• Highly Skilled in QuickBooks
• Experience managing outsourced or remote accounting staff
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Bilingual in English and Russian highly preferred
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Aventura, FL
