Senior Accountant

Location: Lewisville, TX

Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $90K to 110K/year

CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Senior Accountant for a direct hire opportunity with a reputable company based in Lewisville, TX. The Senior Accountant will be supporting the companys financial operations by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and upholding compliance with all applicable regulations. This role will also involve budgeting, audit preparation, and driving process improvements to enhance overall financial performance. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, analyze variances, and recommend improvements to enhance financial performance.
• Oversee daily accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Maintain internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and assist with internal and external audits.
• Conduct financial analysis and participate in special projects, including system upgrades and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Proficient in construction accounting software (e.g., Vista, CMiC, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills with high attention to detail and integrity.
