Join our dynamic team as a Modification Operations Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in leading the daily operations of our modification team. This exciting position offers the opportunity to oversee all aspects of modification planning and execution while ensuring adherence to technical standards, safety protocols, and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will leverage strong leadership, technical knowledge, and coordination skills to effectively manage personnel, resources, and processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the daily operations of the modification team, including task assignments and scheduling.
Act as the primary liaison for all modification-related planning, execution, and progress reporting.
Ensure compliance with Technical Orders (TOs), OEM manuals, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and safety standards for all modification activities.
Collaborate with program managers, engineers, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure timely project planning and resource readiness.
Oversee and inspect modification work to confirm compliance with work instructions and contractual obligations.
Uphold safety procedures, environmental policies, and Foreign Object Ordinance (FOO) control measures.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and on-the-job training to team members.
Utilize maintenance information systems to track and report labor hours, tool usage, parts consumption, and project status.
Assist in audits, government inspections, and preparation of necessary documentation.
Basic Qualifications:
TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related technical field with 8-12 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 6-10 years of experience.
A Doctorate in a technical domain may substitute for equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience in leading construction projects from planning to execution, including scheduling and team coordination.
In-depth knowledge of construction principles, building codes, and technical specifications.
Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD for technical design creation and review.
Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and quality control standards.
Proven track record of managing large-scale or multi-disciplinary construction projects successfully.
Skilled in risk management, project budgeting, and contractor oversight.
Experience in conducting construction inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
Experience supervising technical teams or contractors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
Ability to coordinate across various functions to achieve project objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CCM (Certified Construction Manager), or PE (Professional Engineer).
Advanced knowledge of construction-specific software beyond AutoCAD (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Primavera P6).
Experience with government or public sector construction contracts and regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with Lean Construction principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
Demonstrated expertise in workforce planning and strategic resource management.
Strong contract management skills, including negotiation with subcontractors and vendors.
Background in creating innovative technical solutions for complex construction challenges.

Pay Range:
Pay Range: $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
