SLUCare Neurology is looking for a passionate Academic Headache Specialist, open to both early career and mid-career professionals, offering excellent leadership opportunities. As we embark on an exciting phase of growth in Neurosciences, the Department of Neurology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine is poised to expand its services across various neurologic subspecialties. The ideal candidate will take charge of a specialized headache clinic, contributing to our commitment to improving patient care and advancing treatment options. Join a diverse team of 22 faculty members specializing in various adult and pediatric neurological areas, including neuromuscle disorders, epilepsy, movement disorders, neuroimmunology, vascular neurology, neurointerventional, and neurocritical care. Our residency programs train six adult neurology residents and two child neurology residents per year, with additional fellowships developed for comprehensive training. Requirements: Must hold a valid medical license as a neurologist with experience in headache management. Board-certified or board-eligible in neurology. Headache fellowship training is preferred but not mandatory. A genuine interest in education, research, quality improvement, and leadership roles is highly valued. Facility Overview: Saint Louis University Hospital is a 395-bed facility featuring a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level One Trauma Center, Level 4 Epilepsy Center, and Comprehensive ALS Center of Excellence. We provide advanced treatments such as DBS surgical options, epilepsy surgery, MEG, TMS, quantitative EEG, TCDs, Botox, and infusion therapies. Our facility also includes a 20-bed neurocritical care unit and a six-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU).
