About the Role
The Company is searching for a dynamic Vice President of Clinical Operations and Strategy to lead and enhance all clinical functions within our organization. This senior leadership role is critical for the strategic and operational management of clinical trials, with a strong emphasis on achieving project milestones, adhering to timelines, and complying with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing clinical operations strategies that are aligned with our business objectives, collaborating with executive leadership and external partners to ensure the success of our clinical programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the execution of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to timelines and regulatory requirements.
Manage resources and vendor relationships to optimize clinical operations.
Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders effectively.
Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities for clinical operations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
Provide inspiring leadership to the clinical operations team.
Applicants for the Vice President of Clinical Operations and Strategy must possess a minimum of 15 years of clinical operations experience, including at least 10 years in leadership roles within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector. A solid foundation in cell and gene therapy is essential, particularly in interventional studies related to the nervous system. A strong understanding of regulatory requirements, GCP, and clinical trial design is crucial, along with a proven record in managing early-phase and late-phase clinical trials. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and excellent communication skills, alongside a talent for building and leading cross-functional teams. A bachelor's degree in life sciences is required, with preference given to applicants holding an advanced degree. This role is remote with travel expected; candidates should be prepared to spend approximately 25% of their working hours traveling.
