POSITION: Business Analyst
(Operations Trade Support) FULLTIME/PARTTIME: Full Time LOCATION: New York, NY 28255 SCHEDULE: Mon- Fri 8am- 6pm (onsite training and will change to Hybrid after training finished) ASSIGNMENT: 09/08/2025 to 09/08/2026 (temp to hire) PAY RANGE: $50.81 hourly paid weekly. (Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Base pay information is based on market location.) About the Role: Seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Equity Swaps & Derivatives Operations Analyst to join our Global Markets Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of equity markets and trade lifecycle processes, with experience supporting complex financial instruments including equity swaps and derivatives. This role offers the opportunity to work across trading, sales, risk, and compliance teams while contributing to operational excellence and process improvements. Key Responsibilities: Perform critical operational functions including equity swaps and derivatives lifecycle management, corporate action processing, trade allocations, amendments, and reconciliations.
Analyze and resolve complex product exceptions requiring special handling or reporting.
Manage ad hoc requests from trading, sales, and clients under tight deadlines.
Collaborate across Global Markets teams (operations, trading, sales, risk, credit, COOs, legal, compliance, technology) to resolve issues and minimize risk impact.
Support strategic initiatives and proactively identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
Maintain trading book, instrument, and client reference data.
Partner with global peers to ensure consistent front-to-back support models.
Provide value-add analysis leveraging an understanding of GBAM business performance drivers.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
High-level knowledge of cash equities, equity swaps, and/or equity derivatives products.
General knowledge of operational processing and risk control for equity products.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail with a control mindset.
Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Intellectual curiosity, initiative, and the ability to drive tasks to completion.
Team-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Prior operations experience in a trade support or middle-office function.
Familiarity with corporate actions, equity lifecycle management, and derivatives operations.
Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
